Interview with Beverly Crawford

Don: ·Today, I am talking to solo Gospel artist, Beverly Crawford.

Don:· Hello Beverly, how are you doing?

Beverly: ·I am doing great! ·I have been traveling quite a bit I just left Houston, Mississippi. Right now, I am on my way to Chicago, Illinois.

Don: ·Tell me about this latest release, “Sweeping through the City”.

Beverly:· I recorded a new live project called Beverly Crawford "Thank You for all You done" with the 200-voice choir from Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church out of Dallas Texas.· Melvin Williams, a known Gospel artist, wrote a song that has also been included on the project. ·This was an amazing display of God’s power. ·

I considered this project a family affair.· My daughter and I sang a moving song about my late father. ·My son played guitar on this project and we redid the song “Jesus Precious King”.· Also, Bishop Leonard Scott composed a number that sounds similar to the song "We are the world ". ·Of course, the song "Sweeping through the City" which was done years ago by my mentor, Sister Shirley Caesar, is featured. ·We redid it with a little twist. ·I believe God has put a seal on this project.

Don: ·Let's go back to "Bring it to Jesus".

Beverly:· "Bring it to Jesus" has become a song that people still request. ·I recorded that song over 20 years ago. ·I am grateful that people today are still being blessed, delivered, and set free through that song. ·Dr. Bobby Jones opened up a lot of doors when I joined his group. ·I sang with him for over 7 years. ·I have also gone all around the world with his group. ·As a matter of fact, I just came off the road with Dr. Jones at the Tom Joiner Cruise. ·We had a wonderful time.

Don: ·Our time is about up, but we always ask for your parting words.

Beverly: ·I want the people to know, to never lose hope on your dreams no matter your age. ·My dream began when I was just a little girl from the country singing to the grass and using a stick as my microphone.
